The Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA) and Egypt Post have signed a cooperation protocol to provide several ITDA services through post offices across the republic. This initiative aims to facilitate procedures and save time and effort for citizens and economic entities in obtaining services, including commercial registry extracts, by leveraging Egypt Post's extensive infrastructure.

The protocol was signed by Ms. Dalia El-Baz, Chairperson of Egypt Post, and Dr. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of ITDA, in the presence of leaders from both organizations. Under this agreement, commercial registry extracts will be available at post offices, ensuring rapid and secure transactions near citizens' residences. Cooperation also includes inquiring about facility data, searching for the Unified Commercial Registry (UCR) number, and paying registration renewal fees.

The agreement also covers the printing and supply of secured papers with specific standards through Egypt Post’s printing houses. These use the latest secured printing technologies for ITDA’s commercial registry offices in the governorates, ensuring unified security and quality standards in document issuance and preventing any attempts at tampering or forgery.

Ms. Dalia El-Baz stated that this cooperation is part of Egypt Post’s strategy to expand integrated government services. She noted that providing ITDA services through the postal network is a significant step toward supporting the business environment and improving the client experience, especially given Egypt Post’s advanced operational capabilities.

Dr. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of ITDA, explained that signing the protocol with Egypt Post is a vital step in the state’s effort to modernize ITDA’s services. He highlighted that the choice of Egypt Post comes from its vast network of service centers and extensive experience in delivering government services, allowing ITDA to reach a larger segment of citizens and investors.

He added that the protocol includes the generalized use of secured versions of commercial registry extracts. These documents, equipped with advanced security features, ensure the highest levels of protection for official records and enhance the trust of clients in documents issued by the Authority.
