Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, accompanied by Major General Tarek Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, inspected the implementation of the largest project to establish a logistics and commercial zone in Dakahlia Governorate. The project spans 52 acres with investments reaching 4 billion EGP, expected to provide 20,000 direct and indirect job opportunities.
For his part, Mr. Hossam El-Garrahy, Assistant Minister for Control Affairs and Acting Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), stated in a press conference today at the project site that the execution rate has reached 60% so far, with a financial value of 2.5 billion EGP.
El-Garrahy added that shops within the commercial mall will be handed over starting next November, with full operations of the logistics zone expected by April 2026. He also noted that goods currently valued at 300 million EGP are present within the zone.
It is worth noting that "Marakez" is the commercial developer executing the Mansoura logistics zone. The project includes commercial malls, cinemas, and entertainment areas, while the second phase will include a social sports club, a school complex, and additional logistics services.
