In line with the state’s orientation towards comprehensive digital transformation and enhancing government service efficiency, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, held an expanded meeting to follow up on the latest digital transformation projects at the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA).
The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Awad, Chairman of ITDA, Vice Chairmen Mr. Karim El-Shafei and Mr. Ahmed Fathy, Mr. Ahmed Kamal, Assistant Minister and Official Spokesperson, Ms. Sara El-Azazy, Head of the Minister’s Office Administration, and Eng. Ashraf Jado, Head of the Trade Information Center.
During the session, the progress achieved in implementing an integrated package of digital projects was reviewed. These projects aim to develop services provided to citizens and modernize the internal work environment, achieving a balance between improving user experience and raising institutional performance efficiency through data-driven decision-making.
A detailed presentation was given on the development of the Authority's new official website. It is designed to be an integrated digital platform providing electronic services through a unified, user-friendly interface. This development contributes to faster response times, system stability, and seamless integration with internal databases, which has positively impacted beneficiary satisfaction.
The Minister directed the acceleration of the final procedures for launching the new website, emphasizing that it serves as a unified digital window that reflects the Authority's identity and supports efficient service delivery in line with the national digital agenda.
Discussions also covered the project for an integrated digital portal for managing ITDA operations. This portal includes smart systems such as electronic attendance, Human Resources management, real-time Commercial Registry analytics dashboards, a digital inspection system, and a Geographical Information System (GIS), alongside mobile applications for field work.
The attendees noted that the digital inspection system, activated in February 2026, has shifted the Authority towards real-time oversight, reducing human intervention and enhancing transparency in monitoring commercial activities across the country.
Dr. Sherif Farouk reaffirmed that the Ministry continues to support digital transformation efforts across all affiliated entities to improve government performance. He stressed the importance of expanding the use of modern technological solutions and maximizing data utilization in supporting the decision-making process.
