ITDA Chairman Participates in Meeting to Review 2025 Achievements of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority

The Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority held its sixth board meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Hesham Azmi, and attended by board members, including Dr. Mohamed Awad Ibrahim, Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), representing the Authority.

The meeting discussed the agenda, which included reviewing the Authority's activities during 2025 as part of the "2025 Harvest" presentation. Additionally, the minutes of the previous meeting were approved, and a proposal to form a permanent enforcement committee was discussed to enhance institutional coordination in the field of intellectual property rights enforcement. The Human Resources regulations and the final account for the fiscal year 2024–2025 were also reviewed.

During the meeting, Dr. Hesham Azmi highlighted the Authority's most prominent achievements during 2025, emphasizing that the Authority has contributed to unifying the intellectual property system in Egypt within an integrated national framework spanning legislative, executive, and international levels.

The year's achievements included strengthening the institutional and legislative structure, expanding international cooperation, supporting innovation, and linking intellectual property with development, as well as spreading community awareness about the importance of protecting intellectual property.

Furthermore, the board reviewed annual statistics and performance indicators for resolving complaints via the Unified Government Complaints System, as part of efforts to enhance transparency and raise the efficiency of institutional performance.
