Dr. Mohamed Awad Ibrahim, Chairman of the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA), received a delegation from the Port Said Chamber of Commerce, headed by Mr. Mohamed Saada, Chairman of the Chamber. The meeting aligns with the Authority's ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation and develop digital commercial services nationwide.

Both sides discussed the preparation of a joint cooperation protocol aimed at developing the Commercial Registry office at the Port Said Chamber of Commerce. This includes establishing an "Excellence Center" for Commercial Registry services to raise performance efficiency, provide faster and more accurate services, and simplify procedures for citizens and merchants.

The meeting also reviewed mechanisms for supporting the digital infrastructure of commercial services and updating operational systems to keep pace with modern technological developments. This is part of ITDA's plan to enhance the efficiency of government services and link them with advanced digital platforms.

The parties discussed ways to achieve technical integration and data exchange between the Authority and the Chamber. This would allow for the electronic verification of issued certificates and documents, enhancing the system's reliability and contributing to the reduction of any tampering or forgery attempts.

Additionally, the meeting explored cooperation opportunities with the Executive Authority for Organizing and Managing the Port Said Free Zone, aimed at supporting coordination between relevant entities and fostering a better business and investment climate within the governorate.

The meeting emphasized the importance of expanding the use of electronic Commercial Registry services via the "Digital Egypt" platform. They also considered the possibility of making the Chamber’s own services available through the platform, based on the existing integration with the Commercial Registry—a significant step toward broadening the base of digital services provided to the business community.

The session concluded with a discussion on creating new joint services, particularly in the field of electronic data inquiries for Commercial Registry records. This is intended to ensure the rapid and accurate circulation of information, supporting the state's direction toward building an interconnected and smart government service ecosystem.
